Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Camp Planner (campplanner.app), a tool for planning camp and site layouts. By using Camp Planner, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using Camp Planner, you accept these Terms and our Privacy note. If you use Camp Planner on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Description of the service

Camp Planner is a camp and site layout planning tool. It lets you sketch tent and structure placement, and view estimates for weather, sun/shade, and power. The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, add, or remove features at any time.

3. Accounts & eligibility

Some features require an account, which you create by signing in with a third-party identity provider (currently Google). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to use the service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content

You own the camp data and layouts you create ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of it. To operate the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide Camp Planner to you (for example, to save your camps, sync them across your devices, and render share links you create). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies retained transiently in backups.

6. Intellectual property

Camp Planner itself — including its software, design, branding, and content we provide — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights in the service except the limited right to use it as described here.

7. Paid plans & payments

Some features require a paid plan (Camp Pass, Annual, or Lifetime). Payments are processed by Stripe (via Stripe Managed Payments), which acts as the merchant of record — Stripe handles the transaction, issues your receipt, and collects and remits any applicable sales tax or VAT. Prices are shown before purchase. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. For an explanation of what each plan includes, see the Pricing FAQ.

8. Disclaimers of warranty

Camp Planner is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Estimates only. Layout dimensions, weather, sun/shade, and power outputs are estimates for planning purposes only. They are not safety certifications, engineering calculations, or guarantees. You are solely responsible for real-world placement and for fire safety, electrical safety, structural safety, and compliance with all applicable rules at your site. Do not rely on Camp Planner outputs for any life-safety, engineering, or code-compliance decision.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Camp Planner and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim (or USD $50 if you paid nothing).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using Camp Planner at any time and request account deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located there, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
